Jaguar Land Rover India has commenced the deliveries of the 2021 Range Rover Velar in the country. The SUV can also be availed in the R-Dynamic S trim with the Ingenium 2.0L petrol and diesel engines. New Range Rover Velar was launched at a starting price of Rs 79.87 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the Indian market. It rivals the likes of Mercedes GLE Coupe and BMW X6 in India. The British luxury brand has equipped the SUV with new features and updated infotainment system alongside a more powerful diesel engine.

JLR India has introduced some new features in the 2021 Range Rover Velar in the form of Electronic Air Suspension, 3D Surround Camera and Cabin Air Ionisation with PM 2.5 filter. Also, the latest version of the Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system and Active Road Noise Cancellation have made their way in the SUV. Mechanically, the 2021 Range Rover will come with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants are powered by same 2.0L 4-cylinder Ingenium engine with identical power output and torque performance of 250 bhp and 365 Nm. On the other hand, the diesel variants now come with a more powerful version of the 2.0L 4-cylinder Ingenium engine. The power output has gone up by 24 bhp from 180 bhp to 204 bhp while the torque delivery stays the same at 430 Nm. It also gets mild hybrid technology. Both the engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system as standard. Range Rover Velar is cleaner, safer and smarter than ever before and is one of the most technologically advanced luxury SUVs in the world, claims JLR India.
